How do I get to Italy? Check with Theresa for schedules of our other travelers that you can meet up with. You can book your flight with your travel agent or online. Check out discount fares online we’ve seen fares from $1300 to $1900 depending on your date and route. We suggest www.expedia.com or www.cheaptickets.com We’ll pick you in Naples at the Airport or Train Station the afternoon of June 4, and then deliver you there at the end of the trip at around noon. Allow plenty of time for check in and air travel delays.
Things you should know: Not included: Airfare, artist supplies, Most Lunches & Dinners, gratuities to drivers, guides and housekeeping personnel *Itinerary subject to change. Note, you can save money by making lunch your main meal and having a light supper, or have picnic meals. Also, there are many options in our locations. Tips are minimal, and artist supplies should be limited to what you can easily carry.
Art Supply List: You are welcome to bring whatever professional quality watercolors you have. Simplify as much as possible, you only need a few brushes, watercolors and watercolor paper in whatever form you prefer, along with a water container. An easel is not necessary, you can even skip bringing a stool and find a bench to sit on while visiting towns. The simpler you pack the more you’ll paint. We will send a detailed list upon signup.
Hotel in Naples? It is up to you where to stay if you need to add on to your trip, but we do offer a suggestion with a discount. Theresa and I are flying back on Saturday, June 14 early morning. We are staying at www.palazzoalabardieri.it/ in Naples on June 13. It is very easy to make reservations online with your credit card, and they offer a variety of options, plus a discount if you contact Pasquale Noli at frontoffice@palazzoalabardieri.it and mention that you are with “Make Every Day a Painting”. Along with access to the harbor, restaurants, shopping, and the Royal Palace, it offers many services for your convenience. The concierge can arrange transfers to the airport for you. We pick up and deliver to the Naples airport on June 4 & June 13. Cancellation Terms: See Contract for specific details. It is important to note that your deposit is non-refundable unless your space is resold. Our hotel in Positano requires non-refundable deposits to hold the rooms.
Travel Insurance is recommended in case of illness, injury, family emergencies, trip cancellation, etc (last year I had a guest who had a bicycle accident just prior to the trip and had to cancel, she was able to get full reimbursement for canceled trip—including airline tickets.) If you purchase within 15 days from www.travelguard.com you can also have trip cancellation in case you have to cancel for personal or business reasons.
We reserve the right to cancel the workshop—all deposits and/or full payments will be reimbursed immediately upon announced cancellation.

Who goes on our tours? Anyone who wants to see Italy as an artist. We have beginners to experts, even non-painters who take advantage of the time to explore and have their own adventures. We’ve also had many students bring family and friends or just come alone and make new friends. While we are working in watercolor, you are welcome to work with any mediums you choose, Theresa and I are also both proficient in pastels, acrylics and oils. Just check out our websites for more information about our background.
What is a typical day like? Breakfast is served daily and then we are on our way. We care-fully select inspirational locations and include stops for photos and also plan visits to markets and festivals. You are not expected to stay with the group—you are free to explore on your own. We usually return by 6 for an evening on your own, or you can choose to take a later bus or boat. Critiques are scheduled when possible where we often share our paintings for the day and discuss the progress everyone is making.
